  6. The Mighty Magneto not only controls magnetic fields but if you listen to him in this movie and the others, he can control metal, like Storm can control the weather.

  8. Actually the core of the planet is molten iron spinning at great velocity, thus creating an electromagnetic field, which Magneto can manipulate. so yes, he could levitate the Golden Gate Bridge simply by infusing it with a repelling magnetic charge to the earth’s core, thus making it be propelled upward by gravity.

  10. it’s a movie. and the mere fact that he can create magnetic fields means that he can make it as weak or as strong as he wants in any shape or form. so yeah. he could do it. just because YOU can’t use magnets to lift the bridge, you’re saying he cant. but he’s a fictional character with SUPERPOWERS, you’re not. duh.

  11. ya, but its still fun to try to find a way to do it for real.
We have cell phones because star trek made those communicators. for example.

  13. I think that it’s possible considering that the core of our planet is composed of electromagnetic waves. This same concept has been proposed as UFOs traveling at super sonic speeds by utilizing electromagnetic waves to surpressed their own weight without any problems at all.

  14. couldn’t he have just let jean do it. at the end of the movie she was lifting up tons of ocean water, while destroying tons of other stuff with no difficulty

  16. Magnetic fields come from nothing, remember. Which is you. Awareness seems to be able to generate what it supposedly perceives.

  18. Well established in the comics, Magnito can move ferorus metals by thinking. Diagmagnetic matirials were troublesome. Harder to explain is throwing tons arround without himself being thrown in opposite directions. Also established, he had ability to affect all 4 fundamental forces & some forms of energy (but magnitsum was his main skill). Presumable he can compensate for Newton’s 3rd law. A learned skill, not an included autonomic reflex. In his early years, he did get thrown arround.

  23. You’re mixing up levitation (via diagmagnetic repulsion) with pulling something up in the air (via magnetic attraction). Magneto didn’t levitate the bridge, he used a magnetic field to pull the bridge into the air and sideways. Ya jackass.

  24. u r silly, of course magneto could move the golden gate bridge because it is made of steel, a ferorus metal, which is magnetic and he is the master of magnetism; he can manipulate any magnetic metal in any way he wishes, but his power is mainly centred around the electro magnetic spectrum. His equivalent of lifting the bridge is a humans equivalent of working out so much that they could physically lift it, that is how powerful magneto is.
